Swedish steel is considered the hardest steel in the world. This may soon be his greenest yet. In Borden, a city near the Arctic Circle, a start-up called h2 Green Steel (h2gs) is building a new 4 billion euro ($4 billion) factory, the first in Europe in nearly half a century. It won't use the usual coal or natural gas, but green hydrogen produced on-site from the region's abundant wind and hydroelectric power. When completed in a few years' time, it will employ as many as 1,800 people and produce 5 million tons of steel per year.
