Pendleton is a quiet town famous for its wool and whiskey most of the year. Yet for a single week in September, the eastern Oregon city of just 17,000 receives more than 50,000 visitors flocking to one of the last cowboy strongholds of the West. Since 1910, its annual rodeo, the Pendleton Round-Up, has proudly showcased working cowboys in some of the best wrestling, ropes, barrel racing and horse shows in the country.
